Scribbled Notes

It’s always slow trying to dig up information when the people your investigating didn’t leave much. I have plenty of questions about the past and very few answers.
I sometimes wonder what 2 generations from now will think or know about us. We’ve quickly replaced paper with email’s and instant messages. We’ve gone from paper documents to electronic. The scribbled notes I have of past relatives gives me an ideal of who they were. The letters to brothers, sisters, parents, friends or other relatives gives us a glimpse of their thoughts or who knows, their ability to spread a good yarn. Either way, it’s something they created, their hand writing, my avenue to them. I sometimes wonder, what have we created that will be researched by our decendants? Will there be anything to reflect who we were, what we thought or will we be remembered just as that old guy or gal.
